KKR Appoints Former Manulife CEO Roy Gori as Senior Advisor
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
KKR, a leading global investment firm, today announced the appointment of Roy Gori, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife, as a Senior Advisor to the firm. Mr. Gori, an accomplished leader in the global insurance and financial services industry, will advise KKR on strategic opportunities across global financial services and insurance with a focus on Asia Pacific and international markets. He will provide strategic counsel across insurance, wealth management, banking, distribution, and related financial services platforms.

Mr. Gori brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning insurance, wealth management, and retail financial services across Asia Pacific, North America, and globally. As President and CEO of Manulife from 2017 until his retirement in 2025, he led one of the world’s leading insurance and asset management firms, driving a strategic transformation centered on digital innovation, customer focus, and disciplined growth. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Gori served as President and CEO of Manulife Asia, where he oversaw operations across 12 markets and accelerated the company’s expansion throughout the region. He began his career at Citibank in 1989, rising to lead the firm’s Asia Pacific retail business, including its insurance and wealth management operations.
