Healthier Generation and The Campbell’s Company Receive Halo Award for Full Futures: A School Nutrition Partnership

CAMDEN, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Alliance for a Healthier Generation and The Campbell’s Company (NASDAQ:CPB) (Campbell’s) have been awarded the 2026 Gold Halo Award for Best Local-Impact Initiative for Full Futures, a school nutrition partnership that is transforming how districts support student health and food access. Presented by Engage for Good, The Halo Awards honor outstanding corporate–nonprofit collaborations that deliver measurable community impact.

Full Futures was recognized for its districtwide, community-driven approach to strengthening school nutrition environments in Camden, N.J.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Hanover, Pa.

Launched in 2021 by The Campbell’s Company, Full Futures brings together school districts, community nonprofits and local partners to improve school nutrition through four pillars: culture, infrastructure, nutrition education and food access. Alliance for a Healthier Generation serves as the program’s backbone, providing centralized support and coordination to create a sustainable model that can be replicated nationwide.

“This award recognizes the power of partnership and the belief that every young person deserves access to nourishing food and opportunities to thrive,” said Kathy Higgins, CEO of Alliance for a Healthier Generation. “Full Futures shows what’s possible when schools, families, and community partners work together to build healthier futures.”

In the most recent program year, Full Futures engaged more than 11,000 students, caregivers, and school staff through hands-on learning, food access programs, and school-based infrastructure improvements. Key components of the program include:

  • Monthly community farmers markets offering fresh, local produce

  • School gardens and aquaponics labs integrating food production into classroom learning

  • Student leadership programs shaping school food culture and decision-making

  • Expanded food access, including mobile markets, school pantries, and online pantry models

  • Culinary and nutrition education for students and families

“We recognize that real change requires more than funding—it takes the right partners and sustained commitment,” said Kate Barrett, President of The Campbell’s Foundation. “Local school districts are at the center of this important work, and we’re grateful for our partnerships with them, with Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and all the community organizations who collaborate on Full Futures. Our collective success shows what’s possible when we invest in comprehensive, community-driven solutions.”

The Halo Awards are considered the highest recognition for corporate and nonprofit partnerships and celebrate innovation in categories like employee engagement, cause marketing, food insecurity and sustainability.
