Performances by Robert Earl Keen and Evan Felker of Turnpike Troubadours Kick Off Sunset Amphitheater’s Live Music Era in North Texas

MCKINNEY, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Venu Holding Corporation (“VENU” or the “Company”) (NYSE American: VENU), a developer, owner, and operator of upscale live music venues and premium hospitality destinations, and the City of McKinney welcomed 500 City of McKinney officials, venue sponsors, partners, investors, and live music fans to the groundbreaking event for Sunset Amphitheater powered by EIGHT Elite Light Beer last Friday, June 13. The future site of the 20,000-seat facility located on 46 acres near U.S. 75 and Highway 121 will be a first-of-its-kind premium live music venue in Texas, slated to open in third quarter 2026.

The Friday, June 13, event featured a song swap from one of Texas’s most beloved singer-songwriters, Robert Earl Keen, and Turnpike Troubadours’ Evan Felker. The invite-only evening kicked off with a social hour and remarks from VENU Founder and CEO J.W. Roth, McKinney Mayor George Fuller, McKinney Mayor-elect Bill Cox, and leaders from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation and McKinney Community Development Corporation. After the official groundbreaking, Robert Earl Keen and Even Felker entertained guests by performing country music.
