ITT Releases 2025 Sustainability Update Highlighting Progress Towards Emissions Reduction Target, Board Refreshment and Best-in-Class Safety Performance
STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Nov. 3, 2025– ITT Inc. (NYSE: ITT) today released its 2025 Sustainability Update, which details the company’s progress towards its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target, best-in-class employee safety performance, continued board refreshment and innovative products supporting the energy transition.
“Once again, we are proud to share the progress ITT made in 2024 towards building a more sustainable company for our shareholders, our customers and our ITTers, which continues in 2025. It begins with our intense focus on safety each and every day, which drove our lowest incident rate on record. It continues in our operations, with the development of VIDAR, our revolutionary compact motor. And, we enhanced our Board further with the appointments of Doug DelGrosso and Mary Laschinger, which continue the refreshment process that the Board began in 2023. Still, even with all of this, there is much more on our sustainability journey to capture,” said ITT’s Chief Executive Officer and President Luca Savi.
ITT’s environmental target includes reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 10% by the end of 2026 against a 2021 baseline. Compared to the baseline, emissions decreased by 8% as of 2024, or 28% on a revenue-weighted intensity basis, demonstrating the company’s continued investment in energy efficiency and increasing use of renewable energy sources. Additionally, ITT drove its lowest safety incident rate on record in 2024, resulting in best-in-class injury frequency (IFR) and injury severity (ISR) rates.
Other highlights from ITT’s 2025 Sustainability Update include:
- Safety: 37% reduction in recordable incidents compared to prior year and 40% and 30% reductions in IFR and ISR, respectively, compared to prior year
- New products: VIDAR launched to the market in mid-2025. This game-changing motor, with advanced variable frequency technology in a package 60% smaller than current market solutions, ensures that rotating equipment in industrial applications runs at desired flow rates while reducing energy and maintenance costs
- Talent development: Created and implemented ITT’s frontline supervisor training at two sites in the Czech Republic and the United States; 50 frontline leaders completed more than 1,200 collective learning hours focused on team leadership, performance management and embedding ITT’s higher performance culture in the daily behaviors of their teams. A global expansion of the program is planned, beginning with sites in Barge, Italy and Nogales, Mexico
About the 2025 Sustainability Update
The update incorporates 2021–2024 metrics for global ITT locations, restated to reflect the removal of Wolverine Advanced Materials, which ITT divested in 2024, from all periods. ITT’s Svanehøj and kSARIA acquisitions will be included in 2025 disclosures following their first full year as part of ITT. Several guidelines and measurement frameworks, including those provided by the Sustainability Accounting Standards (SASB) and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) informed the scope of this report.
