It’s Always a Good Day: Goodyear X Ice Cube Partner to Prove That Swagger Never Fades

ORLANDO, Fla.
, Aug. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — In a year marking both the Goodyear Blimp’s 100th Anniversary and Ice Cube’s first headlining tour in over a decade, these two icons will collaborate to bring his classic hits, like “It Was a Good Day,” and the legendary airships to fans throughout North America.

Goodyear and Ice Cube, who have both made their respective marks in pop culture, will celebrate the timeless lyric from his 1993 single, “Even saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp and it read, ‘Ice Cube’s a Pimp’,” during the Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour.

The partnership launched on Sunday, August 24, in Orlando at the BIG3 Championship, a 3-on-3 basketball league founded by the artist, with a special blimp flyover. Goodyear’s airships have a storied legacy of appearing at big events – and this moment continues that tradition.

The idea of the Goodyear Blimp championing my name was a metaphor for the sky being the limit, yet here we are with Goodyear as a partner and the blimp flying in the Orlando skies, saying, ‘Ice Cube’s a Pimp!’,” said Ice Cube. “I’m honored to have Goodyear sponsoring my Truth to Power tour, where we will take people through a musical journey over my four-decade career.”

Then, in September and October, Ice Cube concertgoers at select venues in the U.S. will experience the Goodyear Blimp in new and exciting ways. From inside arenas to overheard in the skies, fans attending concerts in Denver, Colorado, San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California and Cleveland, Ohio will be treated to a memorable experience.
