Airline grows its Golden State footprint to 14 airports

, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — It’s a September surprise as Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) is announcing service to Santa Rosa, California’s Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) is set to begin April 7, 2026, with initial flights available for purchase tomorrow morning at Southwest.com®.

Schulz Sonoma County Airport to our route map provides more access to California’s famed Wine Country for our Customers and further solidifies our yearslong commitment to California.”
Seeing Red: Woods and Wines
Inaugural service for Southwest Airlines® at Santa Rosa (Sonoma County), California, will connect nonstop to San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, and Burbank, California. The San Diego and Las Vegas routes are set to operate daily, including two San Diego roundtrips on peak days. Burbank will initially operate five days per week and Denver will operate on Saturdays only.
The airline previously announced new service to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands; Knoxville, Tennessee; and St. Maarten, all scheduled to begin throughout the first half of 2026. The airline intends to moor another new destination to its route map soon.
