VanEck Adds Consumer Staples (TRUO) and Industrials (TRUI) to TruSector ETF Suite
TRUO and TRUI are the latest additions to VanEck’s TruSector Suite, designed to provide investors with full market-cap sector exposure and closer alignment with the actual market composition of each sector
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–VanEck today announced that it is adding two new funds to its TruSector ETF suite: the VanEck Consumer Staples TruSector ETF (TRUO) and the VanEck Industrials TruSector ETF (TRUI).
TRUOandTRUI join the growing lineup of TruSector funds designed to provide investors full market-cap sector exposure, offering closer alignment with how the broader market defines each sector.
“With the launch of TRUO and TRUI, we now have 7 of the 11 GICS sectors covered within the TruSector suite,” said Michael Cohick, Director of Product Management with VanEck. “Our goal has always been to give investors a complete toolkit — one that lets them access every corner of the market the way the market defines it, without the structural distortions that have long been baked into traditional sector products.”
Each fund in the TruSector suite is actively managed, with the aim of reflecting the full economic composition of its respective sector, providing comprehensive market capitalization exposure unavailable via legacy sector ETF approaches that are constrained by diversification requirements.
With the introduction of TRUO and TRUI, there are now seven funds in the TruSector lineup, which also includes the VanEck Consumer Discretionary TruSector ETF (TRUD), the VanEck Technology TruSector ETF (TRUT), the VanEck Communications Services TruSector ETF (TRUC), the VanEck Financials TruSector ETF (TRUF) and the VanEck Healthcare TruSector ETF (TRUH).
“As we round out the suite toward full coverage of all 11 U.S. sectors, advisors and model builders can increasingly look to our TruSector ETFs as a single, coherent framework for expressing their sector views with precision,” added Mr. Cohick.

About VanEck
VanEck has a history of looking beyond the financial markets to identify trends that are likely to create impactful investment opportunities. We were one of the first U.S. asset managers to offer investors access to international markets. This set the tone for the firm’s drive to identify asset classes and trends – including gold investing in 1968, emerging markets in 1993, and exchange traded funds in 2006 – that subsequently shaped the investment management industry.
Today, VanEck offers active and passive strategies with compelling exposures supported by well-designed investment processes. As of April 30, 2026, VanEck managed approximately $224.7 billion in assets, including mutual funds, ETFs and institutional accounts. The firm’s capabilities range from core investment opportunities to more specialized exposures to enhance portfolio diversification. Our actively managed strategies are fueled by in-depth, bottom-up research and security selection from portfolio managers with direct experience in the sectors and regions in which they invest. Investability, liquidity, diversity, and transparency are key to the experienced decision-making around market and index selection underlying VanEck’s passive strategies.
Since our founding in 1955, putting our clients’ interests first, in all market environments, has been at the heart of the firm’s mission.
