Trupanion (Nasdaq: TRUP), North America’s leading pet insurer, today announced the launch of its annual truFame contest, giving Trupanion members the chance to put their pets in the spotlight—and share the stories that make them so special.
truFame celebrates the cats and dogs who bring more joy, laughter, and love into our lives every day—from their silliest antics to the moments when we need them most. Ten winning pets will become the faces of Trupanion in 2027, appearing in marketing and community campaigns throughout the year.

Last year, thousands of Trupanion members submitted their pets to truFame, generating over 30,000 votes from pet lovers across North America. This year, Trupanion expects to see even more unforgettable pets and stories take center stage.
How truFame Works
- Submit: Think your pet has what it takes to be a star? You’ve got 10 days to enter! Trupanion members can submit their pet’s photo and story from September 10 through September 20 at trufame.trupanion.com.
- Vote & Share: Once submissions close, it’s time to rally your friends and family! From September 24 through October 6 at 5:00 p.m. PDT, pet lovers can visit trufame.trupanion.com to vote for their favorite finalists—and share their pick with friends and family to encourage them to vote, too.
- Celebrate: Ten winning pets will be announced the week of October 12 and will become the faces of Trupanion in 2027.

While truFame may start with a photo, the stories behind the pets are what make the contest special.
Last year’s winners included pets with stories of resilience, companionship, and unconditional love. Atlas, a Siberian Husky from Ontario, was among the 2025 winners after his family shared how Trupanion helped them navigate two emergency surgeries before he turned two.
