American Healthcare REIT Names Jon Crosier Chief Technology Officer
Appointment advances AHR’s data and technology infrastructure, connecting capital allocation with property-level execution; company also adds depth to its Legal Department
IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–American Healthcare REIT, Inc. (NYSE: AHR) (the “Company”) today announced that Jon Crosier has joined the Company as Chief Technology Officer. Crosier brings more than 18 years of enterprise data and technology leadership, including a decade across institutional real estate platforms, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Kilroy Realty Corporation (NYSE: KRC) and previously with Irvine Company.
Crosier will lead the continued development of AHR’s enterprise data, analytics and technology capabilities, with a focus on building scalable infrastructure that connects portfolio-level insight with property-level execution. Working across AHR’s investment, strategic asset management, finance and operating partner ecosystem, he will advance the architecture, governance and tools that will enable the Company and its partners to translate data into faster, more informed decisions as AHR’s senior housing platform scales alongside its regional operating partners.
“AHR’s strategy is to combine disciplined capital allocation, leading senior housing operating expertise, strategic asset management, and a modern data and technology platform in a way that makes each capability more powerful,” said Jeff Hanson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “For an operating REIT, technology is the connective tissue between the capital we deploy, the decisions made every day across our communities and the outcomes we ultimately deliver. As our senior housing portfolio scales, we believe converting real-time information into better decisions can provide a durable competitive advantage. Jon’s appointment is an important step in advancing that capability to an elite level.”
At Kilroy, Crosier led a technology organization of approximately 30 professionals across data and analytics, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and infrastructure and building technology. He architected and delivered an enterprise data platform built on a unified cloud architecture with a governed data foundation and self-service analytics. He also established Kilroy’s enterprise cybersecurity and AI governance programs, including board-level reporting on cybersecurity posture and enterprise risk.
Crosier held technology leadership roles at Irvine Company from 2016 to 2024, where he delivered a modern enterprise data platform across a portfolio of 130 million square feet and established a master data management strategy that unified data governance across the organization. Crosier holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a graduate certificate in information technologies from New York University. He is a Certified Information Security Manager and holds the NACD CERT Certificate in Cyber-Risk Oversight.
“Scale only becomes an operating advantage when insight moves quickly to the people who can act on it,” said Gabe Willhite, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Our operating partners bring deep local expertise; AHR can complement that with portfolio-wide visibility and the ability to share what works across the platform. Jon will help connect those strengths so better data leads to better decisions, more consistent execution and stronger resident and financial outcomes.”
“AHR has a rare opportunity to build technology as a core operating capability rather than a support function,” said Crosier. “The goal is to provide a secure, scalable and governed data foundation that connects information across the enterprise and makes insights easier to act on. Done well, that infrastructure can improve decisions from day-to-day community operations through enterprise capital allocation and help the platform become more intelligent as it grows.”
AHR also announced that Kate Jones has joined the Company as Corporate Counsel. Jones will support the Company’s securities reporting and corporate governance functions, including SEC filings, board and committee matters, and legal execution on capital markets and transaction activity.
Jones joins AHR from O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she was a corporate associate in the firm’s public company advisory practice. There she advised publicly traded companies on securities reporting, corporate governance and exchange listing requirements, and on registered offerings, at-the-market programs, private placements and merger and acquisition transactions. Jones holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from LMU Loyola Law School and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arizona.
