Morneau Shepell announced today that access to therapist-guided AbilitiCBTTM programs will be offered through Shoppers Drug Mart stores and the PC Health app to support Canadians struggling with mental health challenges. With this partnership, Morneau Shepell will offer its complete suite of digital cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) programs to Shoppers Drug Mart customers at a preferred price.

The digital CBT suite currently includes programs for generalized anxiety, anxiety related to a pandemic, depression, pain management and insomnia, and will soon expand with new programs for trauma, grief and loss and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as additional content for panic disorder and social anxiety.

This year’s awards, which were presented in a virtual ceremony yesterday, coincide with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s 50th anniversary.

New Jersey American Water was recognized for its proactive leadership in designing and testing new ways to effectively treat emerging compounds including Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). Located in Springfield Township, Union County, the Short Hills Station’s groundwater supply exhibited trace levels of PFAS. In the interest of public health and after extensive testing of an innovative technology, the company fast-tracked the implementation of a Strong Base Anion Exchange (AIX) system nearly nine months ahead of the PFOA and PFOS rule implementation by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection.

New Jersey American Water has significant expertise in treating and removing PFAS from source water and all New Jersey American Water systems have been compliant with the recently established MCLs for these compounds ahead of the implementation dates, either by providing treatment or removing sources from service.

On November 10, 2020, Quintessential Capital Management issued a research report on the Company entitled “Penumbra and its ‘Killer Catheter’.” In it, the report revealed that “Penumbra’s flagship device, the Jet 7 Xtra Flex, has a structural design flaw that makes it prone to critical malfunctioning” and that the “killer catheter” has already malfunctioned [causing the death] of 17 patients and leaving 35 others with brain injuries.”

On December 8, 2020, Quintessential Capital Management published a damaging report entitled “Is Penumbra’s core scientific research authored by a fake person?.” The report accused Penumbra of having engaged in a multi-year scheme to fraudulently produce a substantial portion of scientific literature using a fake character to support its product marketing to healthcare providers across United States and elsewhere. According to the report, “[the] fraudulent character appears to have been fabricated by management in a reckless attempt to hide its involvement with critical research produced with significant undisclosed conflicts of interest.”

On this news, Penumbra’ stock price fell approximately $16 per share, or 8.3%, during intraday trading on December 8, 2020.

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
The Lockland School District and the Village of Lockland are proud to announce a partnership with Cincinnati Bell to realize a “Smart City” vision that will bring free public WiFi to the Village. The goal is to provide Internet connectivity to residents who might otherwise not have reliable access for educational, healthcare, and employment opportunities.

In partnership with the Lockland School District and the Village of Lockland, Cincinnati Bell has installed a Smart City solution with WiFi coverage that “lights up” 15 locations within the Village. These locations include 8 public hotspots and 7 apartment complexes with a high concentration of Lockland School District Students. The community may log on through a splash page at “PantherPrideFi.”

The project will address digital equity by providing free public WiFi hotspots, and provide high-speed Internet access not only to students in support of education and distance learning, but also to all residents to improve the quality of life in Lockland.
