(Nasdaq: IDCC), a wireless, video and AI technology research and development company, today announced that it has been awarded another injunction against Disney by a court in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The D\u00fcsseldorf Local Division of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) ruled that InterDigital is entitled to an injunction over Disney\u2019s infringement of an InterDigital patent covering technology which allows users to enjoy seamless viewing when sharing video content between different devices; the court also confirmed the validity of this patent. The injunction against Disney covers Germany and the Netherlands. Disney can appeal the decision.<\/p>\n<p>The judgment from the D\u00fcsseldorf court is the third injunction that InterDigital has received from the UPC against Disney; the two previous injunctions both covered patents related to certain video encoding techniques related to HEVC.
