The meeting will take place Sept. 10 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, bringing together company leaders and program participants to answer questions about the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cts.businesswire.com\/ct\/CT?id=smartlink&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fsce.com%2Fdirectclaims&amp;esheet=54595876&amp;newsitemid=20260827387289&amp;lan=en-US&amp;anchor=Wildfire+Recovery+Compensation+Program&amp;index=1&amp;md5=733e2bb983a20237606e479607bbe18e\">Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program<\/a> and provide information to help attendees make informed decisions about their path forward.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe event will include a panel discussion featuring program participants who received compensation and can speak to their experiences with the program. SCE experts will also be available to answer specific questions and help address individual rebuilding and recovery needs.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cOne of the most effective ways to understand the program is to hear directly from people who have gone through it,\u201d said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, SCE\u2019s parent company. \u201cThese conversations give community members an opportunity to ask questions, learn from others\u2019 experiences and connect to resources that support their recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nAs of Aug. 28, 2026:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nMore than 4,450 claims submitted, consisting of over 13,600 individuals, trusts and legal entities, with 39% submitted by attorneys or authorized representatives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nMore than 2,500 offers extended to nearly 6,300 claimants, totaling more than $860 million.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nMore than 3,100 claimants paid, totaling over $460 million, with many more in process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Register for the Sept. 10 Community Meeting<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\nThe meeting will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena. Filing a claim does not waive a claimant&#8217;s rights. Receiving and evaluating an offer does not waive rights either.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nOver 77% of offers have been accepted, with more pending.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nLess than 2% of offers have been declined.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nPayments are made within 30 days after all conditions in the settlement agreement are satisfied, with many claimants receiving payment in as little as two to three weeks. Payments have ranged from $15.1 million for a claimant with multiple properties to $15,000 for a tenant with non-burn damage.
