In the tender document for the RFP, the Municipality said, &#8220;The Municipality is advancing this work in response to increasing energy reliability concerns, rising utility costs, and climate-related disruptions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The work will involve evaluating municipal buildings and properties across Victoria County to identify suitable solar opportunities and develop an implementation roadmap. The assessment may consider rooftop and ground-mounted solar, depending on the characteristics and feasibility of each property. Potential system sizes will be determined through the feasibility studies based on factors such as available roof or land area, electricity consumption, structural or site constraints, interconnection capacity and project economics.
