He succeeds John (\u201cJack\u201d) M. Goodwin, who has been named chairman of the business. The appointments are effective immediately.<\/p>\n

\nMr. Moede has more than 20 years of effective leadership experience in the commercial insurance market. Most recently, he led a global underwriting segment at a major multinational insurer. Mr. Goodwin joined Berkley Risk in 2012 and successfully served as its executive vice president before being named president in 2014.<\/p>\n
