The Broadband Infrastructure Project Ensures More Rural Floridians Can Access America\u2019s Smartest Converged WiFi Network<\/i><\/p>\n

HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE<\/a>)–
\nComcast announced a major milestone today in the company\u2019s continued efforts to bring rural Floridians fast, reliable connectivity. Xfinity and Comcast Business services are now available to more than 4,000 homes and businesses in Highlands County including more than 1,800 previously unserved locations.<\/p>\n

\nFamilies and entrepreneurs now have access to high-speed Internet from America\u2019s smartest and most reliable converged network. Xfinity brings Internet, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services into one simple, seamless solution \u2013 giving customers more speed, savings, and control over their connected lives. Highlands County now joins the 65 million homes and businesses nationwide with access to a network that fuels innovation, productivity, and everyday connection.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cReliable, high-speed Internet is no longer a luxury. \nThis summer, construction will continue expanding the network to more than 1,200 additional locations in Highlands County, with completion expected by the end of 2026. \nThe broadband infrastructure project was made possible thanks to a public-private partnership with the state of Florida\u2019s Broadband Opportunity Program and Capital Projects Fund.
