With nearly 130 daily departures this summer and more than 150 expected by end of year, JetBlue continues expanding customer choice, connectivity and premium travel options in South Florida<\/i><\/p>\n

\nJetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) today continued its significant expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), with the launch of eight nonstop destinations and another six on the way, reinforcing its position as Fort Lauderdale’s leading airline, with the most flights and nonstop destinations, and underscoring its long-term commitment to South Florida.<\/p>\n

\nToday, the airline adds nonstop daily service from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore, Charlotte, Cleveland, Nashville, Detroit, Houston, Chicago and Ponce, Puerto Rico. New service to Indianapolis, San Diego, Columbus, Ohio, Cali, Colombia, Barranquilla, Colombia and Caracas, Venezuela are set to begin in the coming months.<\/p>\n

\nWith today\u2019s new flights, JetBlue will now operate more than 125 daily departures to more than 55 nonstop destinations from FLL, the largest schedule in the airline\u2019s history at the airport. The airline expects to reach approximately 150 daily flights from FLL this winter, providing customers with even more travel options across its network.<\/p>\n

Building on Strong Momentum at FLL<\/b><\/p>\n

\nWith JetBlue\u2019s daily departures from FLL up more than 75% compared to the same time last year, the airline has significantly expanded its Fort Lauderdale network, launching service to 24 additional nonstop destinations since December, with six more set to begin later this year. The growth further strengthens Fort Lauderdale\u2019s role as a key gateway in JetBlue\u2019s network, providing South Florida customers with more travel options while creating additional connections throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean for both local and connecting travelers.<\/p>\n

\nAmong the new destinations still to launch, JetBlue recently announced new daily Mint service between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego beginning November 19, a market not currently served by the airline from FLL. Additional Mint flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco will also launch this winter, further expanding JetBlue\u2019s premium offerings in South Florida. The enhanced service will provide customers with more premium travel options to the West Coast, including the only lie-flat product between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego.<\/p>\n

Investing in the Communities We Serve<\/b><\/p>\n

\nAs JetBlue continues to grow in Fort Lauderdale, the JetBlue Foundation is also investing in the communities that support the airline’s success.<\/p>\n

\nThis year, the Foundation awarded $130,000 in grants to organizations across South Florida, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy, the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust and the Brevard Schools Foundation.<\/p>\n
