In 2025, the team achieved important milestones in the journey to improve the completeness, accuracy, and scope of the company&#8217;s carbon inventory.<\/p>\n<p>\nSome highlights from the report:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nWe obtained limited assurance over our 2025 scope 1 and 2 (location- and market-based) GHG emissions in early 2026.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nWe expanded our GHG inventory to include select material scope 3 categories where we now have reliable data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nOur Wallingford, Connecticut manufacturing facility achieved certification to the SCS Certification Standard for Zero Waste \u2013 a first for a Fastenal building.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nWe surpassed one million pounds of plastic material collected and recycled through our Trex Plastic partnership.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nThanks to these and other efforts, we again improved our EcoVadis score to earn a third consecutive silver medal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n&#8220;Many of the initiatives covered in the report are new, but they reflect what Fastenal has always been: a people-centered, community-focused, resource-conscious organization,&#8221; said Jeff Watts, Fastenal&#8217;s president and chief sales officer (who is scheduled to step into his new role as Fastenal&#8217;s chief executive officer on July 16, 2026). &#8220;Fastenal&#8217;s &#8216;Blue Team&#8217; is working hard to make a positive difference \u2013 for our customers, in our communities, and across the planet.
