\nThe Iron Fire has burned more than 40,000 acres in Juab and Tooele Counties and forced the full evacuation of Eureka. The fire began June 19 south of Boulter Peak and was 27% contained as of Friday morning. It has prompted the closure of U.S. Highway 6.<\/p>\n

\nThe Cottonwood Fire, burning in Beaver County, has grown to more than 70,000 acres with zero containment and destroyed the Eagle Point Resort. Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for several communities east of Beaver.<\/p>\n
