\nChevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today provided an overview of the company\u2019s business performance and plans at its Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The meeting highlighted the company\u2019s strong performance and consistent strategy, with stockholders showing their support by voting in favor of the full slate of Directors and with the company\u2019s recommendations on all matters to be voted upon.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cRecent events remind us of the importance of energy,\u201d said Mike Wirth, Chevron\u2019s chairman and chief executive officer. \u201cOil and natural gas remain vital to people, economies, and global energy security. \nStockholders voted on six items. As reported during the meeting, the preliminary report of the Inspector of Elections was as follows:<\/p>\n

- \nItem 1: An average of 97% of the votes cast were voted for the 12 nominees for election to the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \nItem 2: Approximately 96% of the votes cast were voted for the ratification of the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company\u2019s independent registered public accounting firm for 2026.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \nItem 3: Approximately 97% of the votes cast were voted in support of named executive officer compensation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \nItem 4: Approximately 15% of the votes cast were voted in support of the proposal regarding an independent chair.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \nItem 5: Approximately 9% of the votes cast were voted in support of the proposal to publish a report on Indigenous Peoples\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \nItem 6: Approximately 9% of the votes cast were voted in support of the proposal to commission a third-party report on human rights processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\nOver 1.6 billion shares were represented at this meeting \u2013 or approximately 85% of Chevron\u2019s outstanding common stock were present by proxy.<\/p>\n
