Since 2024, the WeRide Robobus has provided the only autonomous public shuttle service<\/strong> at Roland-Garros, showcasing next-generation autonomous driving technology at one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.<\/p>\n

\n WeRide Robobus at Roland-Garros<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

Held annually in Paris, Roland-Garros \u2013 also known as the French Open \u2013 is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, drawing top-ranked players and hundreds of thousands of spectators each year. Its high\u2011density, high\u2011demand transport environment offers a real\u2011world stage to demonstrate the maturity and reliability of WeRide\u2019s autonomous driving technology. This year, beti<\/strong> serves as the vehicle operator, overseeing daily on-ground operations.<\/p>\n

During the event, the Robobus will operate along a 2.8\u2011kilometer route<\/strong> with a journey time of 12 minutes, connecting three stops \u2013 Carrefour des Anciens Combattants, Gate 5 Village Welcome Desk, and Porte d\u2019Auteuil \u2013 along Avenue de la Porte d’Auteuil, which runs through the Roland-Garros stadium complex.<\/p>\n

The service runs from May 24 to June 7<\/strong>, operating daily from 10.30am to 5pm, 6pm to 8pm, and 10pm to midnight. It also marks the\u00a0second consecutive year<\/strong> of night\u2011time operations at Roland\u2011Garros, extending service hours following a successful rollout in 2025.\u00a0This builds on WeRide and Renault Group’s broader collaboration across Europe, including the launch of a fully driverless Robobus service in France\u2019s Dr\u00f4me region<\/strong> in March 2025, and a pilot service in central Barcelona<\/strong> the same month \u2013 marking Spain\u2019s first public\u2011road trial of a L4 autonomous vehicle for passenger transport.<\/p>\n
