\nFor example, the paint team at Vontier\u2019s largest facility in Greensboro, N.C. improved infrared oven performance with a simple, low-cost solution that restored the oven\u2019s reflectivity and increased efficiency. The improvements are expected to save the company tens of thousands of dollars and eliminate approximately 400 metric tonnes of CO2<\/sub>e emissions annually.<\/p>\n

\nRather than relying on large capital expenditures or top-down mandates, Vontier empowered employees at every level to contribute, from targeted fixes such as installing timers on exhaust fans, to broader system-level upgrades including HVAC optimization and humidification redesign.<\/p>\n

\nThe program also incorporated life cycle assessment work, extending Vontier\u2019s sustainability thinking beyond the factory floor to encompass product-level environmental impacts.
