In alignment with National Volunteer Month, HCA Healthcare colleagues across the country donated their time and expertise to help improve the health and well-being of the communities the company serves.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cCaring for our communities is at the heart of HCA Healthcare,\u201d said Virginia Tenpenny, vice president of community engagement at HCA Healthcare and president of the HCA Healthcare Foundation. \u201c<i>We Show Up for Our Communities<\/i> reflects the strong commitment our colleagues have to serving others, not only in our hospitals, but also in the neighborhoods where we live and work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nThis year, the initiative resulted in:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\n1,866 nonprofits supported across the nation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n9,790 colleagues who volunteered to meet local needs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nMore than 41,800 hours dedicated to volunteering in the communities HCA Healthcare serves<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nHeadquartered in Middle Tennessee, HCA Healthcare is deeply rooted in the region and committed to supporting the communities it serves. In Nashville, nearly 3,000 HCA Healthcare colleagues participated in volunteer activities across the city, resulting in nearly 13,500 volunteer hours served. Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee was among the 475 local nonprofit organizations supported through these efforts. HCA Healthcare colleagues packed more than 3,000 weekend snack bags for Metro Nashville Public Schools students and mobilized 180 volunteers to support operations in the organization\u2019s warehouse.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn total for 2025, HCA Healthcare colleagues volunteered over 350,000 hours, and over 10,000 charitable organizations were supported through donations and volunteering across the country. Additionally, more than 1,300 colleagues served on a nonprofit board.
