(the \u201cCompany\u201d) (NYSE: EIC, EICA) today announced financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, and certain additional activity through April 30, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cWe continue to see strong cash flows from our investment portfolio, and we are pleased that our net investment income exceeded the common stock distribution,\u201d said Thomas P. Majewski, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. \u201cWith short-term rates potentially increasing, we believe our floating-rate CLO debt portfolio remains attractive and expect it to generate incremental income in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cDuring the quarter, we took meaningful steps to reduce our cost of capital and support future earnings by redeeming our highest-cost financing and launching a new 6.00% convertible perpetual preferred stock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>FIRST QUARTER 2026 RESULTS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nNet asset value (\u201cNAV\u201d) per common share of $11.99 as of March 31, 2026, compared to $13.31 as of December 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nNet investment income (\u201cNII\u201d) was $0.36 per weighted average common share.<sup>1<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>\nNII less realized losses from investments of $0.34 per weighted average common share, compared to $0.03 of NII less realized losses from investments per weighted average common share for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, and $0.44 of NII and realized gains per weighted average common share for the quarter ended March 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nGAAP net loss (inclusive of unrealized mark-to-market losses) of $21.9 million, or $0.95 per weighted average common share.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nGAAP net loss was comprised of total investment income of $12.9 million and gains from net unrealized losses on certain liabilities recorded at fair value of $2.1 million, offset by net unrealized losses on investments of $31.8 million, financing and operating expenses of $4.6 million and net realized losses of $0.5 million.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nRecorded other comprehensive loss of $1.6 million.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nReceived $14.3 million in recurring cash distributions<sup>2<\/sup> from the Company\u2019s investment portfolio, or $0.62 per weighted average common share.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nDeployed $56.2 million in gross capital into new investments.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nAs of March 31, 2026:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistcircle\">\n<li>\nThe weighted average effective yield of the Company\u2019s collateralized loan obligation (\u201cCLO\u201d) portfolio, based on amortized cost, was 10.0%. This compares to 10.6% as of December 31, 2025 and 11.1% as of March 31, 2025.<sup>3<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>\nThe weighted average expected yield of the Company\u2019s CLO portfolio, based on fair market value, was 15.3%.
