Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, SCE\u2019s parent company. \u201cWith thousands of individuals seeking relief \u2014 and many more encouraged to complete a no-obligation application \u2014 we remain committed to delivering support with urgency, care and respect as recovery continues across the Altadena community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nAs of May 18, 2026:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nMore than 3,300 claims submitted, consisting of over 10,000 individuals, trusts and legal entities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nMore than 1,670 offers extended to over 4,100 claimants, totaling more than $560 million.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n945 claimants paid, totaling nearly $140 million, with more in process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nSubmitting a claim, on average, takes under two hours. To date:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nOver 70% of offers have been accepted, with more pending.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nOffers have ranged from $15.1 million for a claimant with multiple properties to $15,000 for a tenant with non-burn damage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n36% of claims submitted are by attorneys or authorized representatives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThe comprehensive program includes owner and tenant claims for total and partial structure loss, commercial property loss, business interruption, non-burn damage (such as smoke, soot or ash), physical injury and loss of life. To date, the majority of claims submitted are for non-burn damage and total loss. Claims for loss of life have also been submitted.<\/p>\n<p><b>Fast Offers and Payments<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\nThe Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program is designed to offer compensation in line with settlement values for similar claims in past wildfire lawsuits, with a more streamlined and faster approach than litigation.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nOffers are delivered within 90 days of a fully documented, substantially complete claim.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nPayments are made within 30 days after all conditions in the settlement agreement have been satisfied.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nMany offers and payments are being processed in a fraction of that time.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\nThe program is voluntary and available through Nov. 30, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nWhether pursued through litigation or SCE\u2019s claims process, wildfire claims are typically resolved through a signed agreement.
