PEORIA, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE<\/a>)–
\nRLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) \u2013 RLI Corp. today announced that its Board of Directors declared a special cash dividend of $2.00 per share of common stock, which is expected to total approximately $184 million, and a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share, a 12.5% increase over the prior quarter. The Board also authorized a new share repurchase program of up to $250 million of the company\u2019s outstanding common stock. The company\u2019s stock price was one of the factors in the Board\u2019s decision to authorize the repurchase program.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThis share repurchase program, special dividend and 51st<\/sup> consecutive annual increase in our regular dividend reflect the strength of our business and our confidence in RLI\u2019s long-term strategy,\u201d said RLI Corp. \nBoth dividends are payable on June 12, 2026, to shareholders of record as of May 29, 2026. RLI has increased its regular dividend in each of the past 51 years.<\/p>\n

There is no expiration date for the repurchase program. The timing, volume, and method of repurchases will depend on a variety of factors, including market conditions, share price and capital needs.
