He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Marea Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company. Previously, Dr. Lehrer served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Graphite Bio, Inc. from April 2020 until September 2023. Prior to that, he was the Chief Medical Officer at Global Blood Therapeutics where he oversaw the development and approval of Oxbryta<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> (voxelotor) for the treatment of sickle cell disease.
