\nCharles Schwab & Co. is inviting firms across the financial services industry to join in the second annual National Investing Day, a collective opportunity to educate people about the power of investing and help them build confidence in their financial futures.<\/p>\n

\nTaking place May 1, National Investing Day is designed as a shared moment for financial institutions, advisors and organizations to engage people wherever they are on their investing journey, spotlighting the enduring value of long-term investing and the role education plays in helping investors get invested and stay invested with confidence over time. This year\u2019s efforts focus on strengthening investor understanding and promoting the importance of long-term financial engagement across generations.<\/p>\n

\nTo broaden awareness and participation in its second year, Schwab is expanding the initiative in collaboration with the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). Together, the organizations are bringing the industry together around a shared belief: Accessible, credible investor education can empower individuals of all ages to make informed decisions and pursue their long-term goals.<\/p>\n

\nSIFMA, the trade association for broker-dealers, investment banks and asset managers operating in the U.S. and global capital markets, will invite its members to mark National Investing Day.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cNational Investing Day is a time for our industry to come together around our shared belief that investing becomes more accessible through education,\u201d said Lisa Hunt, Managing Director, Head of International Services at Charles Schwab and a board member of SIFMA and the SIFMA Foundation. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to provide access and education so people are empowered to get invested for the long term.
