At that time, Co-founder Dave Girouard will remain Executive Chairman of Upstart\u2019s Board of Directors and serve as a special advisor to the company\u2019s CEO and leadership team.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cPaul and I have been building Upstart side by side for almost 14 years and I expect we\u2019ll continue to do so for another 14,\u201d said Dave Girouard, Co-founder and CEO of Upstart. \u201cWhen we co-founded the company, Paul was barely old enough to drink &#8211; and I was older than his parents.
