Funding totaling $16.9 million will support 5 PFAS treatment systems at 9 community well sites in southeastern Pennsylvania, which will meet federal regulatory requirements. Aqua Pennsylvania is already in full compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) PFAS drinking water standards.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cAqua Pennsylvania is committed to removing \u2018forever chemicals\u2019 from drinking water and we want to honor that commitment by reducing the financial burden to our customers,\u201d said Aqua Pennsylvania President Marc Lucca. \u201cI want to thank PENNVEST for its continued support. Nearly $108 million in funding has been awarded for PFAS treatment projects.
