(NASDAQ: TIPT) (the \u201cCompany\u201d or \u201cTiptree\u201d) today announced that, at the Company\u2019s Special Meeting of Shareholders (the \u201cSpecial Meeting\u201d), Tiptree shareholders approved the previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger (the \u201cMerger Agreement\u201d) by and among Tiptree, The Fortegra Group, Inc. (\u201cFortegra\u201d) and DB Insurance Co., Ltd. (\u201cDB\u201d), providing for the acquisition by DB of all of the outstanding stock of Fortegra in an all-cash deal by means of a merger of a wholly owned subsidiary of DB with and into Fortegra with Fortegra surviving as a wholly owned subsidiary of DB (the \u201cMerger\u201d and, such proposal, the \u201cMerger Proposal\u201d).\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the preliminary results, approximately 81% of votes cast at the Special Meeting by all shareholders were voted in favor of the Merger Proposal.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cWe appreciate the consideration and overwhelming support from our shareholders in approving the Merger Proposal,\u201d said Michael G.
