\n About the Investigation <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Allegations that Humana paid illegal kickbacks and other claims were unsealed in May 2025 after the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the District of Massachusetts intervened to join claims first raised by a whistleblower pending in the District of Massachusetts. The complaint alleges that between 2016 and 2021, Humana paid illegal kickbacks in the tens of millions of dollars\u2014possibly totaling as much as $250 million\u2014to Select Quote and other insurance brokers, so that they would steer insurance customers into Humana’s Medicare offerings. The complaint further alleges that the most senior officers of Humana were personally involved in the scheme. Shares of Humana subsequently declined approximately 3% upon the filing of this complaint.<\/p>\n
