Freedman will report to Wealth Management President Jason Tyler, effective December 2.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFreedman succeeds Katie Nixon, who served with distinction as Chief Investment Officer since 2012. During Nixon\u2019s tenure, she helped shape Northern Trust\u2019s investment philosophy, expanded its multi-asset capabilities, and strengthened the firm\u2019s standing as a trusted partner to private clients. Nixon now assumes leadership of the Northeast Region\u2014one of Northern Trust\u2019s strategically important and growth-intensive markets with a sophisticated and diverse client base.
