Since starting the annual event in 2022, Washington Trust has collected 6,321<\/b> hygiene items and raised $1,200<\/span><\/b> for Amenity Aid over the past four years.<\/p>\n

Amenity Aid, the State’s only hygiene bank, works with direct service agencies such as homeless shelters, food pantries, veteran support agencies, and domestic violence organizations to provide free personal hygiene products to Rhode Islanders in need.<\/p>\n

Washington Trust collected the personal hygiene donations during its Community Shred Days in June, when the bank provided free document shredding at branch and community locations across the state. Hundreds of community members safely disposed of sensitive papers, and at the same time dropped off new personal hygiene items for Amenity Aid.<\/p>\n
