In a project that took almost two years, Grey’s Peru<\/span> studio, Circus Grey, along with the Municipality of Miraflores and Cemento Sol, laid over 75,000 square meters of special tiles, creating an innovative signage system that enhances autonomy for over 500,000 visually impaired individuals in Lima, Peru<\/span>. The goal is to expand “Sightwalks” to different districts in Lima<\/span> and other cities worldwide. The design and patent for implementation are open and free to use, available on the Cemento Sol website: www.cementosol.com.pe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year’s awards will be featured on fastcompany.com and will showcase 50 winners across 12 categories and 50 additional honorees across industries, for a total of 100 outstanding projects. A panel of Fast Company editors and reporters selected the winners from a pool of more than 1,500 entries.<\/p>\n
