The report outlines key findings that point to a common need: a more patient-driven, transparent approach to data collection and management.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cTrust in data accuracy, privacy, and accessibility is not just a back-end IT issue \u2013 it\u2019s an all-around experience issue,\u201d said Luiz Cieslak, SVP, Head of Healthcare &amp; Life Sciences at CI&amp;T. \u201cThe data shows that improving transparency, digital engagement, and patient autonomy are essential to building trust and improving overall care outcomes.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\nCI&amp;T surveyed 500 U.S. patients who have recently engaged with the healthcare system to gather their perspectives on sharing information with their healthcare provider. To understand how experiences shifted based on sentiment, the survey also captured the respondents&#8217; Net Promoter Score (NPS). Promoters\u2014those who rate their likelihood to recommend as 9 or 10\u2014demonstrate strong loyalty and satisfaction, while detractors (0\u20136) and passives (7\u20138) reflect lower levels of confidence and engagement.\n<\/p>\n<p><b>The key findings include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li><b>Trust Gaps Undermine Confidence in Data Sharing &#8211; <\/b>patients who are satisfied with their care (promoters) are 45% more likely than unsatisfied patients (detractors) to trust their provider&#8217;s data-sharing capabilities. Additionally, there&#8217;s a 41% gap between promoters and detractors in their willingness to trust providers with their personal data, underscoring the need for greater transparency and reassurance around data handling.\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Patients are Willing to Invest Time on Paperwork, If They Trust the Outcome<\/b> \u2013 Half of patients (52%) reported completing paperwork prior to appointments, with 70% spending more than five minutes doing so. Time spent on forms had minimal impact on satisfaction \u2013 as long as patients believed the information would be used to enhance care quality.\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Digital Pre-Registration Boosts Control but Adoption Lags \u2013 <\/b>While 52% of patients were asked to pre-register online, only 46% followed through. Digital engagement is notably lower among detractors, with just 39% completing pre-registration, compared to 63% of promoters.\n<\/li>\n<li><b>While Paperwork Is Tolerated, Redundancy Erodes Confidence \u2013 <\/b>60% of respondents said they had to repeat details like diagnoses, medications, or allergies.
