This is according to a new <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cts.businesswire.com\/ct\/CT?id=smartlink&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redfin.com%2Fnews%2Fhome-price-index-april-2025&amp;esheet=54257363&amp;newsitemid=20250520368471&amp;lan=en-US&amp;anchor=report&amp;index=1&amp;md5=556edb6564f9f047c2b3e624b02c06c8\">report<\/a> from Redfin (redfin.com), the technology-powered real estate brokerage.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nHome prices were up 4.1% on a year-over-year basis, down from 4.9% growth in March. That\u2019s the lowest annual price growth since July 2023.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThis is according to the Redfin Home Price Index (RHPI), which uses the repeat-sales pricing method to calculate seasonally adjusted changes in prices of single-family homes. The RHPI measures sale prices of homes that sold during a given period, and how those prices have changed since the last time those same homes sold.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nApril marked only the third time that the RHPI has posted a month-over-month decline, with the other months\u2014August and September in 2022\u2014coming after a series of rapid interest rate rises.
