(NASDAQ: GNSS), the global leader in Protective Communications<\/a>, today announced it has partnered with ShakeAlert<\/a> to integrate Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) into Genasys\u2019 Protective Communications platform under a licensed operator agreement. The ShakeAlert EEW System, managed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)<\/a>, rapidly detects significant earthquakes, estimates the amount of shaking expected, and issues ShakeAlert Messages containing data that licensed operators use to protect people and critical infrastructure.\n<\/p>\n

ShakeAlert Messages are published by USGS only if certain thresholds for magnitude and shaking intensity are met.
