The Company expects its current cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments to fund projected operations and key clinical milestones through at least 2027, including aleniglipron studies for Phase 3 readiness but excluding Phase 3 registrational studies.<\/p>\n<p>Research and Development (R&amp;D) Expenses:\u00a0R&amp;D expenses for the fourth quarter of 2024 were $33.5 million, as compared to $20.0 million for the same period in 2023. For the year ended December 31, 2024, R&amp;D expenses were $108.8 million, as compared to $70.1 million for the full year 2023. The increase was primarily due to increases in personnel-related expenses due to an increase in headcount, an increase in research and development expenses and consulting services to support the advancement of our GLP-1R franchise including aleniglipron and an increase in the allocation of facilities costs.<\/p>\n<p>General and Administrative (G&amp;A) Expenses:\u00a0G&amp;A expenses for the fourth quarter of 2024 were $13.6 million, as compared to $11.0 million for the same period in 2023.
