\nTelia Norway and Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) recently celebrated a key technology milestone and industry first in the Nordics. Powered by Ciena\u2019s WaveLogic 6 Extreme<\/a> (WL6e) technology, the trial achieved 1.6 Tb\/s through a single optical channel between Oslo and Trondheim over one of the highest capacity routes in the country. This accomplishment set impressive achievements for both distance \u2013 656km \u2013 as well as for number of reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs) \u2013 seven.<\/p>\n
