Investment and other income was <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.1 million<\/span> for the first quarter ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31, 2024<\/span>, compared to <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.6 million<\/span> for the first quarter ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31, 2023<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>\n          <b>Research and Development (&#8220;R&amp;D&#8221;) expenditures. <\/b>R&amp;D expenditures for the first quarter ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31, 2024<\/span> were <span class=\"xn-money\">$5.5 million<\/span> compared to <span class=\"xn-money\">$5.4 million<\/span> for the first quarter ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31, 2023<\/span>, and include non-cash costs related to share-based payments of <span class=\"xn-money\">$729,780<\/span> for the first quarter ended 2024 compared to <span class=\"xn-money\">$526,241<\/span> for the first quarter ended 2023.
