(“Barington Capital”), a fundamental, value-oriented activist investor that, together with the other participants in its solicitation (collectively “Barington” or “we”), beneficially owns approximately 1.9% of the outstanding shares of Matthews International Corporation (NASDAQ: MATW) (“Matthews” or the “Company”), today announced that Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (“ISS”), a leading independent proxy advisory firm, has recommended that Matthews shareholders vote on the\u00a0GOLD<\/u><\/b>\u00a0proxy card\u00a0“FOR” <\/b>the election of ALL<\/b>\u00a0of Barington’s highly skilled director nominees \u2013 Ana Amicarella<\/span>, Chan Galbato<\/span> and James Mitarotonda<\/span> \u2013 to the Board of Directors (the “Board”) in connection with Matthews’ Annual Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held February 20, 2025<\/span>.<\/p>\n
