\nAres Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: ARCC) (\u201cAres Capital\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d) announced today that Co-President Kort Schnabel has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective April 30, 2025. Concurrently, Kipp deVeer will be stepping down as CEO and will remain a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. deVeer will also continue to serve as a member of the Investment Committee of Ares Capital\u2019s investment adviser. Jim Miller, who was appointed Co-President of Ares Capital in October 2024, will continue as the Company\u2019s sole President.<\/p>\n

\nMr. Schnabel joined Ares Management Corporation in 2001 and was a founding member of its U.S. Direct Lending strategy in 2004. Mr. Schnabel currently serves as a Partner and Co-Head of the U.S. Direct Lending strategy and is a member of the Investment Committee of Ares Capital\u2019s investment adviser. Mr. Schnabel holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics.<\/p>\n
