Currently,\u00a0financial institutions, corporates and private equity firms\u00a0are racing to transform their technology stacks,\u00a0focusing\u00a0on artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Key findings from the report include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>87% of the respondents expect M&amp;A and financing activity to grow in 2025, with PE firms slightly more bullish on prospects than corporates.<\/li>\n<li>Deals are expected to be larger. Almost half of the PE respondents expect to work on transformative (USD10 billion+) deals this year.<\/li>\n<li>Geographical expansion and digital drivers are expected to be the primary drivers of dealmaking activity. Dealmakers expect fewer opportunities in restructuring distressed businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Financial services, technology, media and telecom sectors are generating the most interest, backed by strong 2024 performance and long-term prospects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0The report also highlights\u00a0areas of focus for\u00a0M&amp;A dealmakers:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>More than half of respondents expect the use of AI tools to increase significantly. Generative AI is expected to be one of the biggest disruptors.<\/li>\n<li>Data privacy and security remain the top concerns for organizations working with AI, followed closely by reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Dealmakers continue to worry about cybersecurity, with more than 80% concerned about cyberattacks evolving nature.
