\nIberdrola and Avangrid, Inc., today announced that Iberdrola and Avangrid received an invitation to the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump in Washington, D.C. As a leading energy company, Iberdrola and Avangrid serve more than 3.3 million homes and business customers in major metropolitan areas, through its eight electric and natural gas companies in New York and New England, and operates energy generation facilities in 23 states across the U.S. Iberdrola and Avangrid were also invited to several events to engage with congressional and federal leaders.<\/p>\n

\nWith electric demand in the United States projected to grow by as much as 16% by 2030, Iberdrola and Avangrid are demonstrating the need for critical investments in transmission, distribution, and grid expansion, modernization, and resilience. Avangrid currently operates $15 billion of regulated networks assets in the Northeast. Nearly $11.1 billion of committed investments are already underway in New York, Maine, Connecticut, and Massachusetts to upgrade and expand electricity and natural gas transmission and distribution infrastructure, and for the next five years through 2030, an additional $9 billion investments are planed through new rate cases in New York, Connecticut, and Maine.<\/p>\n
