As previously disclosed, the 66 Macy’s locations will close as part of the company’s Bold New Chapter strategy<\/i><\/p>\n

\nMacy’s Inc. (NYSE: M) today confirmed the closure of 66 Macy\u2019s non-go-forward store locations. These closures are a part of the Bold New Chapter strategy, which was announced in February 2024. This plan is designed to return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth which includes closing approximately 150 underproductive stores over a three-year period while investing in its 350 go-forward Macy\u2019s locations through fiscal 2026. The list of 66 closing Macy\u2019s locations can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nPeople have endless options when it comes to where and how they shop. Macy\u2019s customers expect seamless shopping experiences and continuous improvements both in-store and online to meet those expectations.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cClosing any store is never easy, but as part of our Bold New Chapter strategy, we are closing underproductive Macy\u2019s stores to allow us to focus our resources and prioritize investments in our go\u2013forward stores, where customers are already responding positively to better product offerings and elevated service,\u201d said Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Macy\u2019s, Inc.<\/p>\n
