(NYSE: HPQ) today announced the findings of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/Tracker?data=HtiTtLGc5BX_pcfB6qE0zFIdSggID-YCluxgqhJhlCvNLUDQ1gexyRA3SwxKVVEAZVa-PupRo1RpwYC9fWXx0sa1sas6h6OQKEkcQ-Ru-6-4a8QxinGtfkSi6Xl2QNvMqUavwXyLIw9S7hkFHOd_nbsp1B4d0CXfejEAVzYIFMcYfOZaSUS_roMjPUU_rCMIIBZp3-YrqGcXesh_qyWEEA==\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new commissioned study, conducted by Forrester Consulting<\/a>, highlighting the need for companies to adopt always-on endpoint management to cater for increasingly dispersed global workforces.<\/p>\n<p>72% of companies surveyed currently have a hybrid working model, with 75% of respondents reporting that the shift to remote and hybrid working models has magnified IT operational challenges.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Forrester Consulting\u2019s survey of 312 IT and security decision makers shows that companies are struggling to balance asset management, user experience assurance, and risk management.<\/p>\n<p>Key findings in the 2023 study, \u201cMastering Endpoint Security In A Hybrid World\u201d, include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:8pt\">\n          <strong>The top challenges companies face when managing remote endpoints <\/strong>are ensuring data security (60%); keeping software on remote devices up to date (55%); and maximizing the accuracy of asset databases (55%).<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:8pt\">\n          <strong>Just 42% of companies perform firmware updates annually<\/strong>, 23% update every two years or less, and 12% only update \u201cwhen essential\u201d \u2013 putting firms at risk of security vulnerabilities and compatibility issues.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:8pt\">\n          <strong>Two-thirds (67%) of respondents say ensuring secure and continuous communication with remote endpoints is a major concern<\/strong> for their company\u2019s IT department.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:8pt\">\n          <strong>IT is having to rely on subpar protection<\/strong>, with 50% citing inadequate endpoint security solutions as an obstacle to addressing security and management challenges. Meanwhile, 54% believe full-disk encryption provides substantial protection for endpoints but acknowledge it can be insufficient.
