\nTo help residents and emergency personnel stay connected ahead of the storm, Comcast has opened 141,000 public Xfinity WiFi hotspots in areas it serves across Florida in Hurricane Idalia\u2019s potential path for anyone to use, including non-Xfinity customers, for free.<\/p>\n

\nThe Xfinity WiFi Hotspot network is now open in the Comcast service area along the west coast of Florida, starting from Lee County all the way up to Bay County and across to Duval and Nassau County, and in southeast Georgia in Glynn County.<\/p>\n

How to Get Connected<\/b><\/p>\n

\nFor a map of public Xfinity WiFi hotspots, which are located both indoors and outdoors in places such as shopping districts, parks, and businesses, visit Finder.wifi.xfinity.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nWhen a hotspot is within range, select the \u201cxfinitywifi\u201d network on a device\u2019s list of available networks and launch a browser. Sign-in options will appear for both Xfinity customers and non-customers.<\/p>\n

Xfinity internet customers<\/b> can sign in with their account credentials and they will be automatically connected to Xfinity WiFi hotspots in their range in the future. Alternatively, they can download the Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app<\/a> and sign in with their account credentials.<\/p>\n

Non-Xfinity internet subscribers<\/b> need to look for the \u201cGet Connected\u201d section and agree to the Terms and Conditions to be connected.<\/p>\n

Please note that if a user does not see the \u201cAccept and Connect\u201d button, the hotspot he or she is trying to connect to is in a Xfinity customer\u2019s home and is not<\/b> open to the public.<\/i><\/p>\n

\nNon-customers will be able to renew their complimentary sessions every 2 hours.<\/p>\n
