For the three months ended June\u00a030, 2023, aggregate lease rent and maintenance reserve revenues were $89.8 million and spare parts and equipment sales were $4.6 million. The Company reported increased total revenues in the second quarter when compared to the prior year period, primarily due to an increase in the Company&#8217;s core lease rent and short-term maintenance revenues driven by continued global recovery in travel.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u201cOur second quarter results reflect the fundamental strength of our core leasing business,\u201d said Austin Willis, the Company\u2019s Chief Executive Officer. \u201cA scarcity of serviceable spare engines and strong demand from the airlines, continues to drive favorable lease rates and terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u201cDespite huge demand and industry-wide shortages, our teams continue to deliver for our customers that planned ahead and signed up for our custom-built programs as well as for those requiring ad hoc support,\u201d said Brian R. Hole, President. \u201cAs always, people make the difference and ours are world class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n        <strong>Second<\/strong><br \/>\n        <strong> Quarter <\/strong><br \/>\n        <strong>2023<\/strong><br \/>\n        <strong> Highlights<\/strong> (at or for the period ended June\u00a030, 2023, as compared to June\u00a030, 2022, and December\u00a031, 2022):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Lease rent revenue increased by $17.7 million, or 48.3%, to $54.4 million in the second quarter of 2023, compared to $36.7 million in the second quarter of 2022. The increase is due to an increase in the number of engines acquired and placed on lease, including an increase in utilization compared to that of the prior period.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Maintenance reserve revenue was $35.4 million in the second quarter of 2023, an increase of 46.1%, compared to $24.2 million in the same quarter of 2022. There was $6.8 million long-term maintenance revenue recognized for the three months ended June\u00a030, 2023, compared to $15.1 million in the comparable prior period. \u201cNon-reimbursable\u201d maintenance reserve revenue is directly influenced by on lease engine flight hours and cycles. Engines out on lease with \u201cnon-reimbursable\u201d usage fees generated $28.6 million of short-term maintenance revenues, compared to $9.2 million in the comparable prior period. As of June\u00a030, 2023 and December\u00a031, 2022, there was $19.8\u00a0million and $6.3\u00a0million, respectively, of cumulative deferred in-substance fixed payment use fees included in \u201cUnearned revenue.\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Spare parts and equipment sales decreased to $4.6 million in the second quarter of 2023, compared to $6.8 million in the second quarter of 2022.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Gain on sale of leased equipment was $4.5 million in the second quarter of 2023, reflecting the sale of two engines and other parts and equipment from the lease portfolio. Gain on sale of leased equipment was $0.5 million in the second quarter of 2022, reflecting the sale of eight engines.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">There was no gain on sale of financial assets during the second quarter of 2023 as we did not sell any notes receivable. Gain on sale of financial assets was $3.1 million in the second quarter of 2022, reflecting the sale of four notes receivable.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">The Company generated $19.0 million of pre-tax income in the second quarter of 2023, a 73.2% increase as compared to pre-tax income of $11.0 million in the second quarter of 2022.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">The book value of lease assets we own directly or through our joint ventures, inclusive of our notes receivable, maintenance rights, and investments in sales-type leases, was $2,551.3 million at June\u00a030, 2023. As of June\u00a030, 2023, the Company also managed 339 engines, aircraft and related equipment on behalf of other parties.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">The Company maintained $242.0 million of undrawn revolver capacity at June\u00a030, 2023.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Diluted weighted average income per common share was $2.02 for the second quarter of 2023, compared to diluted weighted average income of $0.81 in the second quarter of 2022.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:justify\">Book value per diluted weighted average common share outstanding increased to $64.69 at June\u00a030, 2023, compared to $64.27 at December\u00a031, 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n        <strong>Balance Sheet<\/strong>\n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">As of June\u00a030, 2023, $2,161.7 million of equipment held in our operating lease portfolio, $95.0 million of notes receivable, $14.0 million of maintenance rights, and $5.8 million of investments in sales-type leases, which represented 348 engines, 12 aircraft, one marine vessel and other leased parts and equipment.
