The increase of $0.6 million in 2023 was primarily attributable to an increase of $0.2 million in clinical studies and medical affairs, $0.8 million in personnel costs and $0.1 million in professional fees offset by a decrease of $0.5 million in manufacturing expenses.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">General and administrative expenses increased to approximately $3.6 million for the three months ended March 31, 2023, from approximately $3.3 million for the three months ended March 31, 2022.
