\nCBL Properties (NYSE:CBL) today announced that Derek Young has joined CBL as the company\u2019s initial vice president \u2013 ESG. Prior to joining CBL, Young spent more than six years at Summit Strategy Group, a California-based corporate consultancy specializing in public affairs, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), and healthcare.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI am pleased to welcome Derek to CBL. Enhancing our ESG program is an important priority for us,\u201d said Stephen Lebovitz, chief executive officer, CBL Properties. \u201cDerek\u2019s expertise and experience building effective sustainability strategies as well as his understanding of ESG policies, practices, and reporting make him an outstanding addition to our team and will allow us to accelerate our efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nIn his most recent role as Managing Director of ESG Consulting Services, Derek led the ESG consulting practice for Summit Strategy Group, setting the strategic direction for the firm\u2019s ESG practice, overseeing the financial performance of the practice, and creating all product offerings in the ESG and sustainability space.<\/p>\n
